We can win the cup this time: Chris Gayle

We can win the cup this time: Chris Gayle
After thrashing the Australians by his super power-hitting, Chris Gayle is confident for the World Cup T20 final which is to be played against Sri Lanka. However, he started slowly and didn't got much of the strike, but later on he played some of his favourite shots and punished the Australian bowlers by his powerful hitting.

He knew that the spinners would play an important part and thought 150-160 would be a good score to defend on this type of pitch. The partnership between Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard did a lot for the West Indies and helped them to achieve a grand total of 205 runs.

George Bailey praised the grand performance of Chris Gayle and also pointed to the good supporting innings played by Kieron Pollard, Samuels and Bravo who took the match away from the Australians.

@ImnotRaina: Suresh Raina disowns Pak tweet
Suresh Raina had a bit of explaining to do after a tweet related to Pakistan's exit from the T20 World Cup was sent from his verified twitter account @ImRaina on Thursday night post the team's loss to Sri Lanka. "Ek do din late gaye ghar!!!!! Woh bhi besharam ki tarah gaye... Bye bye Pakistan," Raina tweeted.

However, he deleted his tweet after users found the comment derrogatory and offered an explanation that led to further internet rolling of the batsmen. "Smart phones r dangerous. Discovered it last night after my nephew posted random tweets. Discovered it last night. I'm a sportsmen and would never disrespect." Raina wrote on Friday morning. He further added: "Though I already deleted it, I felt its better to clarify. To all those who r upset, I'm sorry. I'm not one to show disrespect."

Last week when India had defeated Pakistan, Raina had posted a photo of himself, shushing the crowd immediately after he caught Umar Akmal off Ravichandran Ashwin. Along with the photo he wrote: "8th straight win over Pakistan in World Cups. Absolute delight Thank you all for the wishes was high density as always."

Bowlers win the math for Sri Lanka

Bowlers win the math for Sri Lanka
Just after the win of Sri Lanka over Pakistan in the semis of ICC World Twenty20, Mahela Jayawardene said that his team was confident to win the match despite creating a small total. Mahela Jayawardene gave the whole credit to the bowlers of his team who bowled superbly against Pakistan and didn't allowed their opponent to open their arms and play freely. Whereas Mohammad Hafeez said that the collapse of their middle-order was the reason behind the defeat. Rangna Herath did good in the match who was picked in the place of Akila Dhananjay which was a tough decision for Mahila Jayawardene.
